Purchase: I bought these chaps as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. He rides western and mentioned that he'd like to try riding in chaps. Taking a hint, I selected these by mail order from Apple Saddlery in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
They sell for around $190 Cdn without tax.

The suede was of poor quality, unusually "fuzzy". The stitching wasn't secure. Having just taken them out of the box, I noticed it was loose in some places.
My boyfriend, who stands at 6'2" and is an average-slim build for that height, couldn't fit into the Large or Extra Large sized chaps. They were just too small to fit around his upper leg.
Quality: The chaps were poorly made, all around.
Summary: I ended up returning the chaps (my boyfriend tried 2 pairs of them.. large and extra large - neither fit) and getting something completely different.
