Purchase: I purchased this saddle new from Apple Saddlery and I paid $1200 plus tax.
Likes: I purchased a 16.5" saddle for my 13 year old and her 14.1 NFLD pony cross. He has been difficult to fit. The Collegiate Senior Event saddle came with interchangeable gullet. We ended up using the XW gullet on him and it FIT! The saddle has broken in beautiful and fits both my daughter and her pony nicely. It never fails every time someone new sees her and the pony using the saddle they comment on how nice it is...what a great fit etc.
Dislikes: There is nothing I don't like about this saddle...and I haven't heard a word of complaint from my (finicky) 13 year old. That's a good day!
Quality: This saddle is made of good quality leather and since you can change the gullet it adds another dimension to the versatility of the saddle. I found it easy to change the gullet and the instructions were very clear. Also they provide a nice, durable package to store the different sizes for future use.
Summary: A great medium priced saddle that will keep it's value and be around for a long time. I found it hard to find a smaller sized saddle that would suit our needs. This saddle was the answer.
