Purchase: I was looking for something to use whenever I lunged my horse, whether it be in a halter or bridle, so I could get better control.
I spotted the nylon lungeing attachment at Picov's in Ajax, Ontario, Canada for $9.95 Cdn.
It's basically a piece of braided nylon with a clip at each end and a ring in the middle. You put the clip on either the side halter rings, or the horses bit, depending on how you're lungeing.
Likes: It's handy, and not just for lungeing!
I found I could use it to pony a horse (lead one horse while riding another), use it as a "bucking strap", and a handle for when I carry my saddle.
After ponying a somewhat difficult horse (one who tends to pull back on the lead-line), I found that the nylon lungeing attachment held up well. Afterwards when this horse recieved a treat for being good, she goobered up the attachment, leaving it a green soggy mess. A quick dunk in some soapy water was enough to clean it and make it look brand new.
Dislikes: Nothing yet. It's easy to use and strong enough to do what it's supposed to.
Quality: Secure stitching, good quality snaps and ring, as well as nylon braiding.
Summary: A great piece of equipment to keep around the barn! I'll probably end up buying another one so I've always got a spare.
