Purchase: I discovered Fly Predators online. After reviewing Spalding-Labs website and reading the reviews I decided to give them a try. Our first summer here we had a terrible fly problem. We are the only horse/livestock owners for 1 mile around. The flies were from our horses. We had them by the hundreds on the house and in the garage. The second summer using fly predators the fly population was decreased by 85-90%. I have four horses and I spend $19.00 a month during fly season which is from May through September here.
Likes: The company is reputable, easy to deal with and they deliver the product on time and just as ordered. The instructions provided are clear and easy to follow. The Fly Predators are a safe, non-chemical alternative to fly control.
Dislikes: Getting a bag full of bug pupae can seem a little creepy at first, but the success I've had using them makes it worth it.
Quality: The packaging is good and arrives on time each month. The pupae are fresh and hatch within a few days after arrival. Distributing the fly predators is as simple as taking a walk around the barn and pasture.
Summary: Bringing the horses home to the new house was a dream come true only to be clouded by the horrible fly problem that first summer. Sprays, sticky tapes and fogging only helped for the moment. When I discovered the fly predators I was basically desperate for a solution and I found it!
