Purchase: I bought this saddle new from a saddlery in Taree NSW in 1986, for around $600 (AU).
Likes: This saddle is the most comfortable one I've ever had. It was comfortable from day one without needing any breaking in. The leather is beautiful and it has stood up to many years of riding with only a little bit of visible wear.
It has a reasonable deep seat and a nice small supportive knee roll. The flaps are not as forward cut as most all purpose saddles, but I've used it for jumping without any problems, and it's a great saddle for flatwork.
Dislikes: The only thing I don't like is that the brand is not longer available new in Australia. And also I've never seen one with a narrow gullet, so it's not a suitable saddle for most TBs. But otherwise I cannot fault its quality in any way.
Quality: The quality of the saddle has been great, I've had no problems with it over many years of riding. The stitching is still perfect, the leather still looks new (I have taken very good care of it though) and the only thing that needs replacing, after 20 years, are the points.
Summary: A wonderful saddle, lovely quality and very comfortable. I highly recommend them if you can find one new or secondhand.
