Purchase: I purchased this blanket from sstack.com because a friend had been using these types of blankets for her own horses. I paid about $100 for the blanket and about $60 for the matching hood.
Likes: I like the material it is made of, it really is good for wet climates. It would rain or light snow and he would be warm and dry.
Dislikes: My horse had ripped small areas in the blanket within a few months. After taking him to my parents home where there are cattle sized horse pens he tore a rather large spot in the side. Then taking him back to my boarding stable he has started tearing the straps that hold the hood together under the jaw.
Quality: Material is nice, the material quality on holding up while in stall not very good.
Summary: I like the blanket, but feel that the blanket should have lasted more than 6 months without tears or rips. My horse usually isn't hard on blankets. Might buy a sheet for transporting but not another for turnout.
