Purchase: I bought this horse (or human!) shampoo from our local feed store for around $8.00 in Cdn funds.
Likes: It smells good and works great! It's a really creamy shampoo that spreads well. I find that I don't have to use a whole lot of it to bath my horse properly.
Before I bath my horse, I give her a good grooming. Then I soak her down with the hose and work the Mane and Tail shampoo in with one of those soft rubber currys. Using the curry ensures that I get all of the grittyness out of her coat, and the shampoo takes care of the rest!
Mane and Tail shampoo leaves her coat soft and shiney. Her thick mane is also easier to brush out afterwards.
Dislikes: The price on this shampoo seems to vary. I've seen it retail for anywhere from $8.00 - $13.00, depending on where you get it from.
My best advice: Look around and compare before you purchase anything, not just the shampoo :)
Quality: It comes in a strong, sturdy bottle. My horse has rolled it around the bathing area and tripped over it. It's been thrown into a bucket before and still hasn't popped open.
The shampoo itself is great!
Summary: I will continue to buy this product, and others in the Mane and Tail line.
