Purchase: I traded a pair of full seat breeches and $10 for this quarter sheet, on an online trading community, bits and barter. I was looking for something to block the wind while I was riding. It is grey, blue, and silver nylon, has almost like a rain sheet feel to it.
Likes: This is a well made quarter sheet that will be especially good if it is windy, snowing, or raining. It has the same texture as a normal turnout or rain sheet and seems fairly easy to keep clean. Goes over the riders legs also, and has a strap for under the horses tail. Very pretty item. ;)
Dislikes: Not much I can say I don't like about it. I don't think it would be too valuable in really cold temperatures, so I might get a wool or polar fleece quarter sheet for that purpose.
Quality: Very nicely constructed, seems waterproof or at least very water resistant. Tail flap is also an added bonus, heavy duty velcro closure for the front of the rider, nice binding too. Very good quality especially for what I 'paid' for it.
Summary: A great bargain, but I wish it had a little more substance for "warmth" factor. Am going to keep it for those windy fall/spring days and buy a fleece or wool sheet for the bitter winter ones.
