Purchase: My husband had borrowed a saddle pad for his Heading horse while at a roping jackpot. His horse has been a night mare to fit with saddle or pad. Mutton withered and wide back are not qualities you want to have in a roping horse. We have tried many top named and expensive pads in the past none worked good.
He borrowed the therapeutic saddle pad and said he could not believe how great it was. Not a problem with the saddle shifting to the side like all the others he has tried.
Hard to find a dealer who carries the pad but finally found one in Albany Oregon for only $79.95
Likes: Wow, where do I start, I like the fact it was rather inexpensive, it is so cool it dismantles for maching washing and comes with different sizes of therapeutic inners to fit many different horses. We chose the middle thickness and have not regreted getting it.
Dislikes: Hard to find, not many places had them. Finally found the website for the company Team Equine and it directed us to a store some 50 miles away. But it was worth the drive. Couldn't be more pleased
Quality: When we finally found where to get one we had a hard time choosing from the many colors and patterns to select from. I was impressed that it was made so well and such a little price. We have sent over a thousand dollars in many other brands of pads some well over $200 each and after one ride they were tossed in the tack room and left. This pad totally made our horse comfortable and ran more aggressively, was not sore after the long day in the roping arena. Good looking, great styles and some sizes to choose from. We selected the 34x34 size and it is great!
Summary: I would have never thought that we would find a pad that would fit our odd shaped horse, no less a saddle. This pad helped 110% it was so impressive and came in my running colors we are now proud owners of three of them. You can take out the insides the therapeutic part and put it right into the washing machine and the outsides wash up great. Even my husbands wool therapeutic pad has been washed now twice and looks as good as the day we bought it. Thank you Team Equine for making a great saddle pad
