Purchase: I bought these from Dover Saddlery for $47.80. I was looking for a schooling breech and though I didn't expect these to actually work for showing for the price I thought they might be better styled for schooling.
Likes: They are a decent breech. Material has a limited amount of stretch but still forms ok. The closures are strong and sturdy and the fabric is very thin and light which works nicely for summer riding. They do tend to run a size small. I am a pretty small rider, 110 pounds and my legs aren't real big (compared to some riders)and the small size *just* fits. The stitching is pretty sturdy although after time does start to get loose but is quickly fixed.
Dislikes: The material is very thin and doesn't work for cold weather riding. Also these are by no way a show breech so be warned!! They are a lower quality schooling breech. The material doesn't stretch a whole lot and the sizing does run small. The stitching does come loose after several washings and will need resown. After several rides they do start to pill on the high friction areas.
Quality: The quality is only ok. The material is thin, stitching not real sturdy but they work for basic schooling. They do look nice for the first few rides and if you order a size bigger will probably fit ok.
Summary: I probably won't buy these breeches again. They are ok and if you can get them on sale or something they might be worth it but I won't pay $50 for them. They will last several rides but aren't a show breech. I think there are better options out there.
