Category: Dressage Saddles
Purchase: Trialed only. Retail $2995 at Horseland (Australia)
Likes: Very nice quality appearance. Gave rider natural balance in all paces. Panels fitted the horses back (TB) well.
Dislikes: Felt as though I was sitting above the horse rather than 'into' him. Seat felt slightly hard. Didn't feel very secure in my seat, despite being able to achieve balance easily (Unsure how/why this occurred, but that is the best way I can describe it). Stirrup leathers were a little bulky under my knees. Panels seemed to be bit close(horizontally) to horses spine, with only 2.5 fingers width between panels towards rear of saddle. (Height clearance very good.)
Quality: Leather. Very good quality.
Summary: Nice saddle which gave me very good balance, but seat not very secure feeling. I note that another review on this same saddle comments that it improved with use, and that is the impression I had. It needs to be 'broken in'.
Usefulness Rating: 2.28571 out of 5.
