Purchase: I was looking for a jumping saddle to replace my much-loved Schleese All Purpose. After contacting Schleese Saddlery in Ontario, they had this second hand Ventura in on consignment. It was a little pricier than I originally told my husband I would spend, but as I've discovered, well worth it!!!! They retail new at $3395 + tax - I got mine for a steal, $2200 + tax.
Likes: The saddle has Flair panels - panels filled with air, but not overfilled, so when it sits on my horses back, the panels "flare" our and sit really nicely. I love the leather, it's not too slippery and smooth, and the seat fits me so perfectly. I must have just lucked out on that part!
Dislikes: A little expensive, but I will never have to re-flock since the flair can be inflated or deflated to fit my horse evenly by a Certified Schleese Saddle fit tech. They hold clinics in my area once a year for a reasonable price. I've been a client with Schleese for 4 yrs.
Quality: Lovely leather, adaptree can be fitted to any horse by Schleese, and even though it's second hand, it looks even better with age.
