Manufacturer: Chetack
Model: Snaffle Bridle
Category: English Bridles
Purchase: Originally I got this bridle quite a few years ago for Christmas. I needed an english bridle, being fairly new to english riding, it made the perfect gift. Purchased at the local tack store, the price was about $60. I actually received it for a Cob sized horse, so it had to be returned, and ended up with an Extra Full size (fit for a large headed horse, like a warmblood, so it is a tad too large for my quarter horse, and big paint).
Likes: A very nice little bridle for the price of $60. Superb stitching! Nothing has came loose on this bridle yet, and I don't think it will. To add to the beauty, a lovely little logo is located on the right side on the corner of the browband. I really like everything about this product. It's great for any level of riding. Makes a very nice schooling and/or show bridle.
Dislikes: Gee whiz, everything is nice about it. The only minor fault was the dye job. It's a black bridle, so the dye started to rub off on the browband, noseband, and reins. I did clean/wash it after nearly every ride, so that was partly my fault. *Tip* I use Kiwi black shoe polish with the sponge applicator, to re-dye where the color is wearing off, then it looks brand spankin new!
Quality: Beautifully crafted piece of tack! The stitching is to die for on a not-so-expensive bridle. Nothing has come loose, everything is perfectly intact. The leather is really nice quality as well. Oiling and using it helps to break it in, because at first it is rather stiff. The ends of the reins and where the bit is attached, has nice stainless hooks, giving the bridle a neat, clean, finished look. All of the buckles are good quality, and easy to make adjustments.
Summary: If you are on a search for a new bridle, if you are starting out, or are a seasoned rider, this is the bridle for you. Affordable and great quality, this bridle doesn't look cheap at all. I have also came across padded bridles, double bridles, bridles with flash nosebands, and more tack by Chetak. I think you should look into this bridle, it's a winner!
