Purchase: Purchased from Barrington Saddlery in Barrington, Illinois in June, 2006. I paid between $230 - 240 (I think).
Just returning to riding after raising a family, I had no idea what kind of bridle to buy. Bought this on recommendation of a sales associate. I must admit, I was a little hesitant, since "Bobby's English Tack" is a pretty generic name. It kind of sounds like "Bob's Brand".
Likes: The sales associate wasn't kidding. I LOVE everything about this bridle. The leather, workmanship and quality are excellent. Every time I put it on my horse it's such a pleasure. I love using this bridle. I know the padding has to increase my horses comfort.
Dislikes: Discovered the noseband was just a little small and the reins a tad short,(both absolutely usable however) but everything else fits fine. I don't count this as a negative - this is unique to my horse (17.2 WB).
I know the price is steep, but it's a real pleasure having a bridle of this quality to use every day, and be able to show in it as well.
Quality: The leather, stitching and overall quality is excellent.
After looking at lots of bridles on the internet and in tack stores, I believe the price I paid is good in relationship to the quality of the item.
Summary: This is the only piece of Bobby's English Tack I presently own. If this bridle is indicative of the quality of the entire Bobby's line, then I absolutely recommend everything Bobby's.
