Purchase: My young horse is flat footed and my farrier suggested that I get her a boot or get her shod when the time came for me to ride her outside (she's new to the saddle).
Since she 'ootches and ouctches' when walking on a normal dirt drive with small pebbles, I knew I would have to have her frog completely covered.
My problem was that she is newly saddle broke and riding outside hasn't happened yet. We've only done arena training.
I didn't want to traumatize her with being shod since I was showing her so many new things already so the Boa Boot was a great solution. I don't think I will ever put shoes on my girl now! We will stick to BOOTS!
I paid $146 for the pair at Double G Tack in Lebanon Maine. I think that was a reasonable price for how well they are made and the guarantee that comes with them. I'm a cheapo so if I think they are worth it, then you know they are!

Well not with Boa Boot. I had the boot working for me the first time. My 14 year old son even did it too. So SIMPLE DIRECTIONS was a plus!
APPLYING the boot and FITTING it was as simple as the directions. Taking it off? That was cake! It's all in the EASY DIAL!
Farrier Bills? "Just a trim please! She's wearing boots now"
Dislikes: Prices for horse items is so costly that the one thing I wish is what everyone wishes....
Boa would sell 4 boots for the cost of the pair! In my dreams but hey...just thought I would put it on the table!
Quality: This boot is so rugged! My husband jokes and says "I was expecting some flimsy rubber wrap when you said you bought her sneakers. Instead you brought home hiking boots with truck tire tread!" She's ready for the mud!
Summary: I am SO happy this style came out. The others are too hard or too many straps (hay, grass etc. to mess up the velcro). I medically have no strength in my hands so simple and easy is what I need.
All I can say is THANK YOU BOA! YOU HELPED ME KEEP MY GIRL COMFY!
