Purchase: I bought this blankie for 60$ through Country Supply...a huge markdown. I never would have bought it if it wasn't so reasonably priced.
Likes: When I first got this blanket I was skeptical. First of all it didn't have adjustable front buckles or leg straps (it does have attachments for leg straps but they aren't provided), so I wasn't horribly sure it would stay on my mare. When I put it on her I was even more concerned. It is sized very large, and is very boxy. The overall aesthetic appearance wasn't great, but its a blanket, not a piece of artwork. What surprised me was how well it stayed on her.. barely shifting at all. It keeps her warm and dry.
Dislikes: The color. The only two colors offered for this price were baby blue and mint green... not very good color for a messy mare! I'm not huge on tail straps, especially for mares. The shape of the blanket isn't great, but the functionality of it makes up for it.
Quality: Just what you would expect form a Horsewear product, strong. Haven't had it for very long but am looking forward to it standing up well.
Summary: If you can get a good price on it (and stomach the color), order a size down and go for it... you won't regret it. If you really want, order a 5$ set of leg straps while you're at it, although the blanket stays on fine w/out them. Your horse will be the warmest in the barn!
