Purchase: Mine was bought at SmartPakEquine for $27.95 for my mare who was coming off a back injury and was very touchy about her withers.
Likes: It is very squishy and soft and feels great. My mare doesn't mind it at all. The pad washes easily and smells/looks great. Sweat doesn't make it heavy, uncomfortable, unbalanced, anything. They dry out quickly so you can ride again. It's a super cushion under my Wintec (all was bought to protect my horse's "delicate" back) and it compliments the protective properties well, instead of being so thick, it cancels out the saddle or hurts my mare.
Dislikes: Nothing, except it pills a little, but most of the hair washes off easily or can be brushed and the pills can be picked.
Quality: It looked pretty even when I'd ride 3-4 times a week in 80-95 degree weather (noon in the summer, OUTSIDE). I only washed it every few weeks, but air dried the pad before putting inside my tack bag.
Summary: I ADORE THIS PAD!!!!!! I have found few others that are so nice for less than $30. It isn't therapeutic or anything, just a regular pad. It's fun to just hold it. Mine is the light blue/navy combo. I use the light blue side so the navy holds the dirt. I kind of wish I had another so I could use the navy. Dilemmas! When this one wears out, I'm seriously think of getting it again, but in pink/burgundy.
