Purchase: I bought these wraps at a local tack store in Tampa, FL. I think I paid about $20 for them. I needed white wraps for some photos I was taking of my mare to send to stallion owners whose studs I was considering using.
Likes: I liked that they were the right color and I didn't have to mail order them or drive around town trying to find them. Initially they were soft too. And they came in a nice zippered plastic bag, which is good for storage.
Dislikes: I have used them twice and washed them once. Granted, they are white so I would expect some staining. but even with bleach, not a lot of it came out. And it wasn't like I rode in the mud, just in a normal sand arena. After washing them and drying them per the instructions, they are ALL pilled up like I have had them for years, not used them twice and washed them once. I have a set of vacs washed in the same manner, and they look brand new still.
Quality: The construction is OK, but I don't know any horses with cannons big enough to accommodate the placement of the velcro. By the time i cut off the excess velcro, I had about 3" left to secure the wrap. And this was on all 4. My mare is an average sized horse, wears medium boots in front, large in back.
Summary: I wouldn't ever buy these wraps again. In fact, I am so disappointed I have considered writing the manufacturer and complaining, but I am too busy and know nothing would come of it. So I plan to just use them for lessons and nothing else. I will buy Vac's in the future.
