Purchase: I bought this helmet at Tanglewood Tack in Pembroke, Ontario - near Ottawa - for $395. This same helmet is listed in other stores for $500.
Likes: The kind saleswoman convinced me to try the helmet on - I thought it was far too expensive - but once I had it on I had to have it! She reminded me to "take my safety seriously" and that horseback riding can be as dangerous as hockey!
Dislikes: absolutely nothing
Quality: This helmet is of the finest construction. It even comes with a beautiful dark leather carrying bag. The harness is comfortable. It is sporty looking and as such is great for western or english riding. I brought it home and sure enough my horse spooked and I fell off for the first time in several years - this helmet saved me and there wasn't a scratch on it.
Summary: I would recommend this helmet to anyone who rides horses. Most people like to spend less than $100 on their helmets. How much is your head worth? Tanglewood Tack has the lowest prices around and it's worth the drive to Pembroke to save your skull!!
