Purchase: Own 2. One was purchased in Germany from Stubben 30 years ago. Price not recalled. Other was purchased from Saddlery in New Zealand 2005 for about $75nz.
Likes: Can't say enough about these lovely girths.
* They allow the horses skin to breathe as they are not just a wide solid slab like leather and synthetic girths.
*Very comfortable for the horse as they are quite wide, with the individual strings(or cords) also being thick and very soft.
*The material used to tie the cords together is very good - wide & flat.
*I have used these Stubben Cord girths specifically to prevent galling (on horses prone to galls), and they have proven to be excellent.
*Easy to give an occasional soak & wash with 'wool wash' and a light scrub.
*Highest quality Stainless buckles.
*One girth is 30 years old and other than showing slight 'fluffing' of the cords, is in excellent sound condition.
Dislikes: I LIKE EVERYTHING about these girths.
Quality: Soft wide girth with thick silky cords & top quality stainless steel buckles.
Summary: Superb Top Quality soft girth allows the horses skin to breathe. Score 6 out of 5!
