Purchase: I purchased this saddle on Ebay from seller "Equusnow!" (Rose at www.equusnow.com) for $495.00/free shipping. Also included were matching synthetic leathers, stainless steel stirrups, a saddle pad, and the complete gullet kit.
Likes: First, I like how this saddle always looks great, and that I can adjust it to fit all the horses I ride. I am big on equitation, and this saddle makes it easy to look good/puts you in the right allignment for shoulder, hip, heel.
Secondly, the horses I ride- ride better in this saddle! They like how it fits them better, and really feels good on. When used also with the matching girth by Wintec, there is even better performance from the horse (it has elastic in the middle of the girth, instead of the ends).
Third, I get a lot of compliments on the saddle. Everyone that I have let borrow it, has complimented me on how comfortable this saddle is.
Dislikes: Personally I think this is a comfortable saddle, others rave on how comfy it is. I myself am used to my old Crosby A/p saddle, which was a perfect 10 on comfort. This saddle is about a 5 or 6 out of 10 for comfort. But it looks GREAT!
Quality: The saddle is made of a synthetic material and resembles leather. It is a very high quality synthetic saddle.
Summary: This is a great saddle for hacking/lessons/showing etc. I love how attractive it is, how it adjusts to fit each horse, and how it is easy to ride in (good position, not slippery). This is a saddle to be enjoyed by both horse and rider.
Your horse will thank you if you buy it :)
