Purchase: I ordered a pair of the Ols Macs Boots over the phone and had them shipped to me. I paid $145
Likes: These boots made all the difference for a pleasant ride for me and my pony, who has been having problems with shoes ever since I got her.
I heard about letting her go barefoot and using the Old Macs for riding and decided to give it a try. Believe me, I was already pretty frustrated with all the problems, and so was Rusty, my pony.
They were easy to put on him and he stepped out confidently. We went on the trails and he wasn't bothered at all when we went over some rocks and gravel, like he had been before. We walked, trotted and cantered and the boots didn't budge.
Dislikes:
Quality: They have a good guarantee, but so far they still look good and aren't falling apart. We ride out alot in them.
Summary: I made sure to let him stand and walk around with the Boots on for about 20 minutes twice before we went riding. He was so sensitive before that I wanted to make sure the boots were "broken in" I don't know if that was necessary or not, but it seemed like a good idea at the time!
Rusty loves his new boots and so we both have a fun time. They weren;t hard at all to put on and off. Now we get lots of comments when we're out and I tell them all about Old Macs.
