Purchase: I purchased this saddle from my trainer, a County distributor here in Texas. I was looking for a quality dressage saddle that fit both my Arab and myself. I paid $1600 for this saddle in 1999.
Likes: The saddle is well balanced and looks great even after 7 years of consistent use. After restuffing to fit an Arab back (saddle is designed for warmbloods), the saddle fit perfectly.
Dislikes: I ordered this saddle with semi-forward flaps to accommodate my long legs. While the saddle fits both my horse and I well, I wish the flaps were just a bit shorter as the saddle looks a bit overbearing on my horse. I cannot completely fault the saddlemaker for the large flaps as they designed this saddle for a drafty warmblood who requires large, bulky tack to look proportionate.
Quality: The quality of this saddle is superb. The leather is soft and supple and the craftsmanship is second to none. The saddle fits (after being restuffed for an Arab back) my three Arabs and my goofy Paint horse.
Summary: This is a great saddle. If the bars are wide enough for an Arab but the saddle has a slightly overbearing look on a 15h Arab. The saddle has held up well and was a good buy.
