Purchase: I bought this saddle via the internet from a distributor in Tennessee. I was looking for a treeless saddle to use for trail and endurance. I paid $1000.
Likes: This saddle was comfortable and secure. Additionally, it fit my horses. An added bonus was that it is light weight.
Dislikes: I bought the endurance model (after selling the trail model) because according to Bob Marshall distributors, the stirrups are set back to a centered/balanced position. Contrary to their claims, I found the stirrups to be too far forward. You can order a new saddle with the stirrups set back and additional 1.5 inches; however, I did not like the saddle enough to spend another $1000 to do this option. I also did not like the lump under my leg from the western style rigging.
Quality: I kept this saddle for only 1-1.5 years. Accordingly, I cannot comment on the longevity of the saddle. The leather was of average quality. Construction appeared satisfactory.
Summary: This saddle works for someone with a western background (rigging and stirrups off for English background). It fits horses well and was comfortable and secure. It slipped less than other treeless saddles I've tried when mounting.
