Purchase: How I acquired this saddle was reading what some of the people were saying on their message board and because I had recently purchased a gaited horse I thought this would be the saddle to buy. I purchased this saddle directly from Gaits of Gold in NY. I paid $1,299 in Sept. of 2005. I send photo's as requested so they could determine the proper width for my gaited horse.
Likes: It was a nice looking saddle, comfortable with of course the supracore that certainly made the difference for the rider for those trail rides.
Dislikes: The saddle did not fit my horse. I did not like the position of the saddle on the horse. I tried several different positions and it didn't make any difference. Customer service was terrible.
Quality: The leather was on the hard side and the quality and construction left a lot to be desired.
Summary: If you plan to purchase this saddle, be sure of your measurements and get in writing if it doesn't fit you can exchange without additional money or get a full refund along with the last date of your trial period in writing.
