Purchase: I purchased this Rambo rug about 2 months ago (brand new)for £109 inc delivery from the Discount Saddlery ebay shop because it was a lot cheaper than the RRP. I had originally seen the rug for £190-£210 at the beginning of the winter and my intention was to buy the rug immediately as i loved the design and knew rambo was a good make. However, my mare is not clipped as she has a fine coat and she didn't require the full 400g rug and neck cover so it didn't seem worth the expense.

Likes: Just about everything! The colour is great. The cut of the rug is very attractive, not rubbing her shoulders and being high enough that it doesn't cut into the withers (I had to use this rug as my old rug was digging in- "requisite" by robinsons- very poor quality). I love that the liner is detachable- there is 100g in the outer rug and different liners can be bought to make the rug warmer. It is also extremely waterproof/weatherproof and has three surcingles for extra security. It is also suitable for home washing machines with a huge range of rambo wash products to ensure maximum life and waterproofing.

Dislikes: I purchased a 5'9" rug but found that although the outer rug fitted the inner liner was several inches too small and as I didn't need a heavy rug (its spring) bought the 100g liner in a 6'0" to compensate. I also prefer leg straps to a tail strap but the horse doesn't mind :-) I was also surprised to find that so many of the attachments were velcro- i would have expected more sturdy fixtures from a rug with such a high RRP.

Quality: Superb! (the velcro is only on the liner so as long as the rug fits you're ok) the good things outweigh the bad by far and this rug is a definite (although expensive) worthwhile investment built to last.

Summary: Love the rug- looks great on the horse :-) If i could i would rate it 4.9 below but thats not an option.
