Purchase: I had scraped by on homemade dressage jackets for a few years, but then decided that since I was getting serious about dressage, it was time to update my show wardrobe. I found this jacket new off eBay for around $200. New, from a tack store, it retails $400.
Likes: I love how comfortable this jacket is. There is just a hint of stretch in it, so there is total freedom movement through the shoulders and arms. The jacket has an elegant long, tapered look which is extremely flattering in the saddle. Except for the fact that it's hot to wear during June, July and August, I scarcely even notice I'm wearing it!
Dislikes: The buttons weren't securely sewn on when I first purchased the jacket, so I had to sew them on myself. It was a little disconcerting to be at a show and suddenly have a button fall off! However, now that problem is fixed and I love the jacket.
Quality: The Pikeur Diana is an extremely high-quality jacket. It is made by one of the top makers of dressage apparel, and it's very obvious. The jacket gives a refined air to the rider while providing a comfortable ride. The material is lovely, as is the construction.
Summary: It's an excellently-made jacket! The price is high, but it's 100% worth it considering the quality.
