Purchase: I paid $750 brand new with warranty (last years closeout) at The American Cowboy.
Likes: By far the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden in. The seat was cushioned the fenders were all ready set outward (no ankle or knee pain trying to turn them) and the leather was awesome, beautifully hand-tooled. My horse decided to roll with the saddle on while he was waiting for me and not even a scratch on the leather!! In addition, the saddle had silver accents, so I also used it in shows.
Dislikes: The only negative I can think of is the hand-tooling is kind of tricky to clean. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Quality: I think the name says it all Circle Y. In my opinion, quality and construction were far better than some of my friends expensive Crate, Billy Cook and Tex Tan saddles. After riding in mine, they even agreed with me.
Summary: A once in a lifetime find for the price I got it at, but definitely worth the money. I am looking to buy another Circle Y for a training saddle, I won't use any other brand.
