Purchase: We purchased these boots for a miniature horse that we have that foundered badly after losing a foal. We bought 2 and paid $119.00 including 2nd day shipping.
Likes: These boots have been a life saver for our beloved mare. She was in so much pain and we even tried using duct tape and insulation boards for padding, she still could not walk. Not to mention a mini's hoof is really hard to duct tape. After about 5 minutes of putting her two new "shoes" on she was up and walking. We left these boots on for about 3 weeks until she was able to go without them. (Please consider everyday we removed them and cleaned them out and then placed them back on her little feet
Dislikes: Not much to dislike about this product after 3 weeks of wear the shoes did seem to start rubbing a little bit but NOTHING major a small worn place on the outside of the hoof wall. Not deep enough to measure, more like a rubbed place or a small scratch.
Quality: Devine make sure you purchase with the gaiter, makes life so much easier. Great construction and quality, My mare wore these 24/7 for 3 weeks and only was able to get them off once, not to mention after 3 weeks of wear they still look like new.
Summary: I personally think that all horse owners should own at least 2, you never know when you may have an abscess, bruising etc that you may have to treating. I am buy another pair (larger size) for my large horse tomorrow, he now has a foot abscess that will require him to have his foot protected for the next 2 weeks. I know EasyBoot will stay on and with a little vet wrap it will stay clean and dry. I should have already purchased a pair for my larger guys but you just like everybody else, you don't buy them until you need them, today I needed them in his size (huge horse) so until they come I will be back to duct tape. Lesson learned, PURCHACE BEFORE YOU NEED!!! All horse owners should have a pair handy, Abscess come up suddenly and this will save time, money and a very sore back, not to mention you horse will love you for it, and make sure you let your horse know that none of the other horses are making fun of him for wearing "shoes" that he is special!! lol
