Purchase: I wasn't really planning on buying a new show shirt, but when I bought a show coat from Picov's in Ajax, Ontario, show shirts were half price.
For $30.00, how could I lose?
Likes: I normally wouldn't get a light greenish show shirt, but the sales lady recommended it to go along with my hunter green jacket.
Surprisingly, the colour combination goes well together... and my coach approves!
The shirt fits well and comes with 2 collars, which I think is pretty much standard when buying a new shirt.
Dislikes: The collars are a bit tight.. (they seem a little tighter then some of the other collars I have), but that's not a big deal. I can either move the buttons or replace them completely with velcro.
I kind of wish the front buttons were covered (I think they call it a placket front or something like that) but again, it's no big deal.
Quality: Made of combed cotton and polyester. A really well made shirt.. good, tight stitching.
Summary: I like the shirt but I don't know if I'd ever pay full price for it..
I'm not cheap, but it's always seemed a little odd to me that show shirts are so expensive.. A few pieces of material stitched together with buttons surely can't cost $60 or even (with some other brands) $160 to make.
If this shirt ever went on sale (without having to a buy a jacket), I'd probably get another.
