Purchase: I bought this saddle off eBay. It was listed as a "roughout" training saddle. I paid about $600 to use for.... training.
Likes: Shaped like a reining saddle with a small horn.
Dislikes: Thin cheap construction. Not suitable for daily use as a training saddle.
Quality: The "roughout" is not. It has a rough finish but it was not roughout construction where one should find the strong smooth side is IN where it is protected from wear and abrasion producing a longer lasting rugged saddle. This was rough both outside and inside a.k.a. suede which is a thinner weaker construction.
Summary: I sent it back as "not as advertised". The dealer is unaware of the difference between suede leather, and Roughout construction.
If you just need a light duty saddle and like a rough appearance and are willing to settle for light duty suede....
Or you can buy a Billy Cook at wholesale, or a Rocking R and get a respectable saddle for $100 more.
