Purchase: Bought gently used privately for $140 as a practice saddle for another rider. Wide tree, 17 inch in brown leather.
Likes: Nothing.
Dislikes: The leather is cheap and scratches easily, and has no grip to it whatsoever.
The tree bridges out and pokes you in the inside of your thighs, disabling contact with the horse and being generally annoying.
The cantle is too high and the pommel too low, and it does not allow movement with the horse at all- it kind of pulls you along.
The kneerolls are basically nonexistent. Your legs swing way too far forward and provide you with no balance at all.
The flocking stinks and the leather on them ripples. The wide tree is only good for a horse who is very narrow, but not necessarily high-withered.
The whole saddle gives you the feeling that you will be catapulted forward or slide off should your horse stop (even a normal stop), turn quickly, or buck.
All in all, it's not even very comfortable to sit on.
Quality: The leather scratches easily and the dye will rub off sometimes. The suede on the knee rolls is rough and wears easily. The flaps wear easily as well. The whole saddle is uneven and the stitching demonstrates this. The billets are leather but unfinished and don't look very trustworthy.
The seat construction absolutely ruins any thought of proper equitation. The cantle is too high and curves too much, and the pommel is too low. The wide tree is often not wide enough for even medium-wide horses, but will fit high-withered, very narrow-backed horses decently.
Summary: Don't buy it or any of the similar saddles to it! Unless you'd like to learn how to hate english riding, or if you want a cheap saddle to use for lunging out young horses with disposable tack.
Save up $450 and buy a Wintec instead!
