Purchase: I bought this product at Charlotte's Saddlery in Tomball, TX and paid $48.95 for it.
Likes: This is a great hackamore. The cheeks are short so it is very forgiving however there is still a lot of control. This is a great device for slow work. It's very handy for getting to "know" a new horse.
Dislikes: The particular unit I bought has a synthetic nose rope (yuk-plastic!). I would prefer a natural material. It does come with rawhide, leather, etc. but this one the only one they had in stock. It still serves the same purpose so I'm happy.
Quality: This hackamore is a no nonsense piece of equipment. It is well constructed and made of quality parts. The chain at the chin is easily adjustable and the s curve is wonderful for stability.
Summary: I used one of these while I was working with a trainer. After a few weeks I bought one and I have been very happy with the results. My horse loves it (no bit! yea!) and I'm satisfied with the control it provides.
