Purchase: I got this saddle at a local tack shop where they usually send western saddles. Someone just dropped in one day and sold it to them. I paid $1,000 for it at the shop in mint condition only used 5 or 6 times. I needed a close contact saddle because I had an 18" saddle of poor quality and fit a 16".
Likes: I really love this saddle because it is very balanced and supple. The leather is very comfy and the knee rolls are a dream. It's light and extremely comfortable and fitting for my horse.
Dislikes: I dislike the fact that when I first got the saddle and oiled my boots and then oiled my saddle, then next day I rode at a show the black from my boots stained my saddle. Hopelessly leaving it with a large dark mark at the bottom. Also the color didn't match anything! I couldn't find one bridle or girth, or even pair leathers at any horse shop with the same color as the the saddle. It is also not very well known and when it was time for me to get a size bigger it was impossible to find the exact saddle.
Quality: The construction of the saddle is great. After 4 years having this saddle the leather is still strong and the knee rolls are better than ever. I get tons of compliments on the saddle when I go to shows and it looks great on every horse it has been on. It fits all my ponies and my horses.
Summary: The design is just fantastic and I couldn't find a better saddle, literally. I fear changing from anything else and even though after 4 years there is not one sign of wear and tear I will not be able to get accustomed to another saddle. I highly recommend this saddle if you can find it and the price isn't bad either.
