Purchase: I went into Victoria Feeds - The Horse & Hound in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada recently to get horse food, not buy a saddle pad, but after seeing this one, I couldn't pass it up.
I paid approximately $22.00 Cdn without taxes, and it was on sale.
Likes: It's a gorgeous saddle pad! The pad is reversible so you've got 2 colours to choose from. There are lots of combinations, but since I like hunter green, I chose the hunter green pad with navy on the reverse.
It looks sharp and I like that it's contoured to sit over the horses withers properly. There are no straps, but it fits nicely under my saddle and doesn't budge.
It's designed along the same style as the popular contoured PolyPads, but without the crazy price. I like the Roma name anyway and own several of their products.
The padding is adequate as well: not too much and not too little.
Dislikes: Some people might immediately discount the pad because it doesn't have straps, but this saddle pad doesn't need them. It doesn't slip or slide around and cushions the horses back really well.
Quality: Quality typical of Roma products. Tight and even stitching around the pad, proper filling.
Summary: I'd get another one of these pads again... maybe in a different colour to add a little variety to what I already have.
The price, even when not on sale, is also reasonable for something of this quality.
