Purchase: I bought this for $20 at Equus Now! in Columbus OH. I need a lighter bit for my horse that I'm training.
Likes: I like the fact that its a good bit for the money. The joints are good and it does not just. My horse just loves it!
Dislikes: I really wanted a copper bit like this, but Korsteel only has a full cheek french link bit with a twist in copper. It also speaks a bit when my horse is using it. After playing with it when I first bought it I noticed that the metal cracked a bits at the joint. I think that the metal may be just really thin plating.
Quality: Built well, except for the squeaking and slight cracking.
Summary: A good bit for someone who is transitioning a horse through bits and doesn't plan to keep him in it. If I wasn't going to change his bit again in the upcoming months I would have bought something a little more expensive.
