Purchase: I just read another review and also have the same problem. I bought mine from Payless Saddles, great people to buy from. Price was $ 849.00 a couple of years ago. I noticed the silver issue about a year and a half after the purchase. Keep in mind this was kept covered, never in the rain and cleaned on a regular basis. Called the Payless because there is a warranty with these saddles, not on any silver. So beware unless you plan on replacing the silver of the sellers claiming Montana, it is not! Otherwise this saddle is awesome, rides and fits great and the leather is better than some more pricey ones that I have seen.
Likes: Quality of the leather and the tooling.
Dislikes: Silver, not at all very good quality.
Quality: Leather wise super, stitching is well done, tooling is accurate and even.
Summary: Beware of sellers advertising Montana Silver, it is not and not even a good plate.
Usefulness Rating: 3.11111 out of 5.
