Purchase: I was given this barrel pad as a christmas gift that i had picked out sometime before. it matched all of my gear i had with its bright colors...The pad costs about 120$
Likes: the bright colors...
Dislikes: i run 3 circuits in barrel racing and all my horses have very high withers and one is very petite and one of my horses is very stocky and big withered. I thought because of the memory foam and the raised withers in the pad it would work well....the instant i put the pad on my mare she did fine. As time went on the pad became crooked in the back crease and the form to the pad gets bent up extremely easily and dirty fast. Then i bought a new horse that has a sensitive back and usually doesn't care what pad is on her but when i put the pad on her she was very pissed and wouldn't run straight she was just irritated... did nothing to improve my horses back problems just made them worse..
Quality: the pad is higher on one end to fit high withers and memory foam in the middle and black felt on the bottom side of the pad.
Summary: The pad is a terrible pad and not shock absorbent..although it has a wonderful color the quality is terrible. and doesn't help barrel racers at all.
