Purchase: I bought these boots from the Dover Saddlery store for about $239.99, for schooling and some showing.
Likes: These boots fit me better than the other brands/models in the store. The leather was very smooth and they looked great. The footbed was really comfortable, too.
Dislikes: While I was putting the right boot on, the zipper popped off. This was the fourth time I had worn them, and they were still in the process of getting broken in! I didn't even have a chance to ride in them before they broke.
Quality: Nice leather and comfortable footbed. They fit very well, too, until the zipper broke.
Summary: The boot is very nice, but you can't use it with a broken zipper! You would think that Ariat would put a better zipper in such a nice boot. If I buy tall boots from Ariat again, I'm definitely going with pull-ons.
(by the way, Dover kindly refunded my money and helped me pick out another brand of tall boots)
