Purchase: I purchased the saddle from Mary's tack and feed in Del Mar CA, for $2,345. I chose Stubben because know and trust them. I also own four other Stubben saddles.
Likes: I love the small but long knee rolls. They are a great length but they do not create a bulk under my leg.
Dislikes: the only thing i would change is the name plate on the rear of the saddle. I would prefer sterling silver or nothing so that i may add my own.
Quality: this saddle is perfectly put together and is of the highest quality of leather.
Summary: I was originally going to get the Passier, but i ended up going with my gut and what I know to be a great brand. I bought my stubben sight unseen and have never been more pleased with a saddle. The seat is in very deep and comfortable to ride in. The saddle is also very well made with very small, but long knee rolls. I found this to be a perfect first dressage saddle that looks great and feels wonderful. (it also fits my horse perfectly.) i love this saddle and recommend all stubben products.
