Category: Jumping Saddles
Purchase: I bought this saddle used on ebay for $600 (deal of a lifetime). They usually retail new for around $1800.00
Likes: I grew up riding on flat-as-a-pancake cc saddles and LOVED them, but was looking to upgrade. I wanted a saddle that made me feel like I was riding a HORSE, not a saddle- this saddle is perfect. No knee or thigh blocks, fairly flat seat, enough padding to be really comfortable without interfering with feel. Plus the leather is so soft and buttery my non-horsey friends want to make clothes out of it!
Dislikes: That soft leather does scuff easily, but the scuffs just buff right out. I was worried about the color but it has oiled up darker that expected and matches just about anything easily.
Quality: Beautifully constructed and stitched, no problems whatsoever.
Summary: I hope I never have to buy another saddle, I love this one so much, but if I do it will be another Eq!
Usefulness Rating: 2 out of 5.
