Purchase: I bought these paddock boots from the Dover Saddlery catalog for around $65 plus shipping. I was looking for a pair of affordable boots at the time to wear for every day riding and schooling.
Likes: The leather is quite soft and flexible.
Dislikes: The leather, while soft and flexible, is not durable, and it's wafer thin. You can feel the stirrup rubbing your toes in these boots. The stitching on the uppers, near w(here your littler toes are) is coming out, after only a year and a half of use. The soles are thin and do not provide much cushioning or support; I had to get Dr. Scholl inserts or I could not have walked around in these boots comfortably. Also they run narrow, which the advertising copy did not mention, so if you have slightly wider feet you might find them uncomfortable. I ordered black ones and the leather is already fading and looking worn.
