Purchase: I desperately needed a new saddle, but couldn't decide upon a new model. Many saddles had great attributes, but I couldn't find the "whole package." Offering her saddle, my trainer told me, "trust me, you'll fall in love with it." I climbed aboard and said, "where can I get my own?" The buttery soft leather conformed to my calves, knees, and thighs. The deep seat facilitated security over big fences and a relaxing feel for flat work. She was right about love at first ride and we called a rep. to come out and measure me and my horse for a perfect fit. The rep. was nice and professional and made sure that everything was measured correctly before taking my order.
Likes: This saddle offers the "whole package" that I was looking for: a nice deep seat, pillow soft knee rolls, minimal knee and thigh blocks, and outstanding craftsmanship. The leather is definitely French quality that is second to none. I would recommend this saddle to even my biggest competitor on the circuit.
Dislikes: Honestly, there isn't anything about this saddle that I don't care for.
Quality: Excellent. The tree is solid, the leather is cut and cured the way all professional saddle makers should manufacture their products, and, if fitted correctly, the Antares offers any equestrian a sense of security and a guaranteed great ride (unless, of course, you haven't turned your horse out for a week!).
Summary: Ultimately, you can't go wrong. It's in the pricey range, so be prepared to open your wallet; however, once you own one, the word "regret" will never even come to mind.
