Crest Ridge Saddlery
Trail Saddles

Manufacturer: Crest Ridge Saddlery
Model: Guffery
Category: Trail Saddles

Purchase: I have a spotted gaited gelding he is as wide as he is tall. I started looking for a saddle, when I was putting on the the miles for conditioning. I found my horse was getting sore in his back, after a few time using a saddle. I went through 9 saddles, all of them claiming they were for gaited horses,(flex tree, ect). As a farrier in Az. I started looking more at the backs of gaited horse & found out that most gaited horses have a back like a mule, plus shoulders move the same. I started searching the web for mule saddles, because a mule saddle open up in front to give room for the shoulder to move freely. I found Crest Ridge Saddlery which makes mule saddles as well as gaited saddles, with a J bar tree. Which means it opens up in front for the shoulders, plus rolls up a little at the end of tree for the hip, to move free. I paid around a $1000.00 for the saddle. AFTER USING THE SADDLE FOR A YEAR I WOULD HAVE PAID TWICE THAT.

Likes: I competed in long distance riding. I have never been sore, saddle never squeaked, my horse has not been sore,( it works). Plus I can where my jeans & cowboy hat & come out of a 50 mile race as fresh as I went in. Add features are all the tie rings & some what lite weight. Bottom line (This One Fits)

Dislikes: Nothing

Quality: I put over 1000 miles on this saddle. In rain, snow, dirt, rocks, & hot weather. This saddle still looks like new. This saddle is one tough HOMBRE.

Summary: Anyone buying this saddle or working with Crest Ridge will be happy with them. I just tried this saddle on my Paint mare, which is not gaited it working very well it fit her as well. WOW!!! I have one saddle that works for both horses.
