Purchase: I bought this saddle slightly used at Rhinebeck Tack in Rhinebeck NY for $300. It came with an adjustable gullet set and removeable layers of knee roll. I wanted a comfortable endurance riding saddle that I could also jump in when I felt like it.
Likes: The wintec saddle is comfortable for both horse and rider. My horse has never recieved so much as a rub from this saddle, and I have stayed very comfortable on lengthy trail rides as well. It has a nice spring to the seat and is easy to clean and maintain. It is also very light.
Dislikes: The only bad things about this saddle are that the knee rolls were so thick they gave me bruises the first time I rode in the it, but they are removeably so I just took them out. Just a little excessive. There is also no safety lock on the stirrup hooks.
Quality: The wintec 2000 is made of 100% synthetic materials with CAIR panelling that conforms to the shape of your horse's back. It has a flexible tree with a lifetime warrenty. The material on the seat and panels (sueded) is very grippable, almost to a falt as I feel like in chaps I literally can't slide around at all.
Summary: I have always been a fan of wintec saddles, but feel that this has been the best one yet by far. For trail and endurance riding it can't be beat.
