Purchase: I bought this item off of Ebay for about $150 (Beval's price is $220). I was in need of a sheepskin girth, and the idea of removable sheepskin really appealed to me because it would be easy to clean. I have a Butet saddle and I thought it would match the saddle nicely. Also, I trust Beval's brand completely.
Likes: It's by far the best made girth I've owned. The leather is supple and the sheepskin is excellent quality. I like that I can get replacement sheepskin, but it is expensive, $75. I thought the girth may be hard to keep clean, but it's very easy. I simply pull the sheepskin off, use some glycerin soap, and the girth ends up looking brand new. I've been schooling in it, but I think I'm gonna stop that soon. This is too nice of a girth to waste on schooling! It really matches my saddle and I'm so glad I put down the money on this girth and bought it, even though I was hesitant at first.
Dislikes: I don't like the price of the replacement sheepskin - $75. You can buy a nice girth for that price! I'm trying to keep mine in great shape so I don't need to make that extra purchase.
Quality: The quality is excellent, with beautiful leather and super soft sheepskin. It has some fancy stitching, which is great because it doesn't stand out, but it makes you look classy.
Summary: Absolutely essential for the "A" circuit rider. It's a gorgeous girth, but it is expensive. I'm glad I made the purchase, though!
