Purchase: I bought these boots online from Jeffers Equine. I paid about $80 w/ free shipping. I got tired of having to buy new chaps and boots when either or both wore out. I wanted something that would last and look good.
Likes: These boots are amazing. They felt great right out of the box. There was no breaking in period at all. Since they are "faux leather", there is no serious cleaning or polishing involved. I simply rinse them off w/ water. The zippers are sturdy and the insole is very comfortable. I would show in these w/ no problem. I did order up a 1/2 size and downsized the calf. I wear an 8.5 and a medium calf. The 9 slim fit great.
Dislikes: Nothing!
Quality: These are well made boots. Punched toe cap and sturdy zippers. They look like leather boots and have tight stitching. I don't think I'll ride in half chaps again. Some people may be put off by the equileather description, but I think they are definitely worth trying.
Summary: These are not the heavy, ugly fake leather boots of the past. They are truly well made and so comfortable. If you are looking for an everyday boot so you can save your good ones, these are worth looking into.
