Purchase: I got this cover when I bought my saddle package - all new Wintec saddles come with a cover. The package I ordered also came with another saddle cover (which I just reviewed).
It all came from Apple Saddlery in Ottawa, Ontario. I'm not sure if you can buy the cover alone, so I really don't know how much it would cost. I've seen them as low as $5.00 for a used one though.
Likes: It's a nice soft cover that fits my saddle well.
Because the material is very stretchy, it also fits over my saddle with leathers and irons attached, without popping off.
The cover is thin and breathable.
Dislikes: Since the cover is so thin, it gets holes easily. The material around the hole doesn't run or tear though.
I also wish the elastic was a bit stronger. Wintec put flat elastic around the cover and as it gets used, it starts to twist and roll. The elastic hasn't broken, but it's not as stretchy as it used to be.
Quality: Thin, soft cover with flat elastic to snug the cover around your saddle. Light blue with the Wintec logo printed on either side and the CAIR logo on the back.
Summary: This is basically a shipping cover for Wintec saddles to protect against dust, which it does. For heavier use though, I don't know that I'd recommend it as it doesn't seem to hold up all that well. Good as a starter cover though, or if you don't have anything else.
