Purchase: I ordered this saddle from the Billy Cook factory in Sulpher, Oklahoma brand new for 1200.00
Likes: I liked the way it felt when I sat in it and the way it looked.
Dislikes: I was upset that they supposedly measured my horse, but when the saddle came in it did not fit her well. it slipped off her back as I tried to mount. It also had an uneven amount of pressure underneath the skirting on the sides..it seemed to pinch in.. straight up from the cinch. The rear skirting was the complete opposite.. it was way too big and didn't even touch her rump.
Quality: The construction materials were of good quality.. but its design (which was supposed to have been fitted by the company) did not fit well at all.
Summary: I feel that when someone goes to a saddle manufacturer and drives several hours with their horse in a trailer to have an nice fitting saddle made..and then waits 3 months to get it.. the saddle should fit. If it doesn't.. then maybe that company really doesn't care at all about helping people get good fitting saddles.
