Purchase: I paid $1,200 for this tooled show saddle with silver corner plates, horn cap, silver thread, conchos. I bought this from Dixieland, because I had previously purchased a trail saddle and was greatly impressed with their workmanship and price.
Likes: I like the craftsmanship, the overall weight of the saddle, the quality of leather, and the fact that even though it is a show saddle, it's not gawdy-looking. It's flashy, but no overbearing. It's very comfortable, too. We also bought matching bridle and breast collar with silver conchos, etc.
Dislikes: I can't find anything that I dislike about it.
Quality: Good quality leather, tree by Steele, tooling is magnificent, all the silver is in place. Great saddle.
Summary: I would recommend this company to all those who are in the market for a gaited saddle. The quality of other companies(I personally like the designs better than anything else I've seen, but for so much less the price.
